Repaint the Rainbow - exploring sexualities
Centrum Wspierania Partycypacji Społecznej, przy współpracy z organizacjami z Hiszpanii, Litwy i Słowacji zaprasza na międzynarodowe seminarium pt. "Repaint the Rainbow - exploring sexualities". Seminarium dedykowane jest młodym kobietom (wiek 18-25 lat, w wyjątkowych przypadkach do 30 lat), szczególnie kobietom nieheteroseksualnym, queerowym i osobom transgenderowym. Wymagana jest znajomość języka angielskiegom w stopniu umożliwiającym komunikację. Zapraszamy wszystkie chętne osoby do składania formularzy zgłoszeniowych na adres: edukacja (małpa)beztabu.org, do dnia 20 czerwca. Seminarium odbędzie się w dniach 30 czerwca - 7 lipca 2010, w Koszycach, na Słowacji.

Projekt jest realizowany przy wsparciu finansowym Komisji Europejskiej. Udział w seminarium jest bezpłatny, Komisja Europejska pokrywa również koszty noclegu, wyżywienia oraz zwraca 70% kosztów dojazdu. Koordynatorką projektu w Polsce jest Katarzyna Dułak.

An informal youth group from Slovakia calls for participants to: REPAINT THE RAINBOW PROJECT, EXPLORING SEXUALITIES

July 30th - June 7th 2010
Kosice, Slovakia

Conditions for being a participant:
* Age from 18 to 25 (exceptions can be made up to 30, contact your coordinator on this issue)
* Intermediate level of English (being able to express yourself)

Costs:
70 percent of travel costs will be reimbursed after the project, if participant had been attended the entire program.
Accommodation and meals will be covered; participants will be staying at youth hostel.

Idea of the project:
The main idea of this project is breaking the invisibility of sexual minorities, with special focus on lesbian, bisexual and queer women (but not only!) We would like to give voice to these groups. We decided to do this through creativity and we have prepared 3 workshops for you. They will be followed by an exhibition of their products. The main theme is (G)LBTQ identities, exploring them, questioning them. Besides the workshops, there are many other activities, games, international evening, sightseeing, visiting local LGBT bar.

You can choose one of the workshops to attend:

Literary
What will we do: write haikus, mini essays, short prose - many genres, it depends on your inspiration and skills, but only short texts so they can be displayed in a creative way at the exhibition. Also we will discuss, try visual interpretation of some texts and many more.
Get prepared in advance: Do a small research about lesbian literature in your country. Is there any, what do you consider lesbian or queer literature?
Bring: anything connected to this, for example books, pictures, an english translation of a poem, short story, also your own texts if you have some, your favorite queer text (in english) there are no limits!

Visual - video, painting, photography What will we do: depends on your skills - you do not have to be an artist, but a creative young person ready for an adventure.
Get prepared in advance: open up and bring your creativity, ideas and basic computer software skills (basic photo editing).
Bring: anything would help, cameras, video cameras, laptops, statives

Organizational - managment, design What will we do: This workshop will be preparing the actual exhibition, its role is very important, design, marketing, advertising, promo.
Get prepared in advance: basic computer skills (microsoft word, basic photo editing)
Bring: laptop (not compulsory, but will make work more effective)
